The Pentax Ultra Pumps are fitted with an Epic VSD and 8L pressure tank.

EPIC is a control and protection device for pumping systems based on the power supply frequency variation of the pump.

EPIC automatically changes the speed of the motor to maintain a set pressure which is easily adjustable. The variable speed drive eliminates the requirement for large pressure tanks and pressure switches. This way the pump or pump system is activated only when required for the time required; as a result, energy waste is avoided and its durability is longer.

AT THE SAME TIME, EPIC CAN:

• Protect the motor against overload and dry operation and provide a relative alarm indication.
• Active soft start and soft stop to extend system durability and reduce consumption peaks.
• Connect to another EPIC device for combined operation (COMBO).
